Turkey’s First and Second 500 Largest Industrial Enterprises Announced
Istanbul Chamber of Industry (ISO), announced in May this year “ISO Turkey’s Top 500 Industrial Enterprises-2020” after his research “ISO Turkey’s Second Top 500 Industrial Enterprises-2020” also shared the results of its research with the public.
According to the information shared by the Istanbul Chamber of Industry, ISO 500’s production in 2020 increased from 1 trillion 22 billion TL to 1 trillion 179 billion TL, an increase of 15.3 percent. Compared to the increases of 34.5 percent in 2018 and 16.4 percent in 2019, it was observed that the growth performance in sales from production slowed down due to the pandemic.
Again, according to the information shared by the Istanbul Chamber of Industry, the net sales from production of the ISO Second 500, which includes mostly SMEs, increased by 21.7 percent from 157 billion TL to 191.1 billion TL in 2020.
ISO Second 500’s Largest Companies
“Murat Ticaret Kablo Sanayi A.Ş.” ranked first in the ISO Second 500 with net sales from production amounting to TL 578.9 million. In second place was “Metal Matris San. ve Tic. A.Ş.” took the second place. The third ranked organization was “RTM Tarım Kimya San. ve Tic. A.Ş.” with 571.5 million liras.
This year, many companies entered the ISO Second 500 list for the first time. One of these companies was Bor Şeker A.Ş., our customer. Established in 1983 as an operation of Turkish Sugar Factories A.Ş. (TÜRKŞEKER), Niğde Bor Şeker Factory was taken over in 2018 as part of privatization, and the factory’s production capacity and efficiency were significantly increased with the infrastructure and human investments it made afterwards. Bor Şeker entered the ISO Second 500 2020 list in 102nd place with net sales from production amounting to 457.1 million liras.
