Xiaomi Turkey Factory Starts Production
The Chinese technology company Xiaomi Turkey factory was opened in Turkey on March 29. The factory, which Xiaomi opened in Istanbul Avcılar together with its partner Salcomp, has a production capacity of 5 million smartphones and will employ 2 thousand people.
Xiaomi Turkey factory will be the company’s fourth factory worldwide after China, India and Indonesia.
Xiaomi Aims to Become the Leading Smartphone Brand in Turkey
Making statements at the opening ceremony, Xiaomi Turkey Country Manager Vincent Chang stated that they aim to be the leading smartphone brand in Turkey in terms of both market and customer satisfaction and said, “We aim to increase the number of our Mi Stores to 100 in order to deliver all the services we provide to all four corners of Turkey.”
Speaking at the same ceremony, Salcomp Senior Vice President Travel Xue said, “We believe that we will achieve great things in Turkey as a result of our years of global expertise. As Turkey’s leading phone brand, Xiaomi’s journey in Turkey will continue with new investments without slowing down.”
