Regulations Regarding the Presidential Decree on the Determination of Companies Subject to Independent Auditing Have Been Published
According to the Presidential Decree No. 6434, published in the Official Gazette dated 30/11/2022 and numbered 32029 (Decree), the criteria for being subject to independent auditing have been revised. In line with the changes made in the Decree, the Regulations on the Implementation of the Presidential Decree on the Determination of Companies Subject to Independent Auditing were published in the Official Gazette dated 16/01/2023 and numbered 32075 (1st Repetition).
With the 13th article titled “Abolished Legislation” of the regulations published on 16.01.2023, the Regulations on the Determination of Companies Subject to Independent Auditing, published in the Official Gazette dated 16/02/2019 and numbered 30688, have been repealed.
Examples related to the topics of being subject to independent auditing and leaving the scope of independent auditing, depending on whether the threshold values are met for the accounting periods, have been revised in accordance with the changes made in the Decree.
To address the uncertainties regarding the application of the threshold values for 2022 after the Decree’s publication, a Temporary Article 1 has been added to the regulations.
The regulations came into force on the date of their publication, effective from 01.01.2023.
